Thousands of people from different backgrounds and routines share the metropolitan space daily, sharing common troubles and opportunities.

The daily life bind the metropolitan citizens to many paths every day, be it from home to work, be it to have access to leisure, retail, health services, education and so on among many others. Many of these paths pass through more than one city, increasing the citizen’s feeling of belonging beyond its own hometown – this is the meaning of metropolitan citizenship.

The third in the country

The Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte fulfills the plot of political, economic and demographic center of Minas Gerais, and it is the third largest metropolitan region in the country.
